I found this written on a piece of paper today. I am not sure if it was a thought that came to me one day that I was trying to think through, a quote or a comment in a conversation, but what I am wondering is...
TRUE or FALSE
"Church bodies have life cycles like physical bodies have life cycles.
They are born. They grow. They live. They die (whether literally or essentially)."

After our experience over the last three years, that certainly feels like it's true to me...but that's only based on my experience.

hmmmm... yes? maybe? i'm entertaining the thought as true more than false.
that is definitely true, for our postmodern, hyper-individualistic culture. I don't believe it is Truth, however.
I wish it were false, but I think in today's society it's very true.
I don't so much think it's life cycles, but rather seasons. It sounds similar, but it's not quite the same. Life cycles, involve death where seasons involve a dying and/or hybernation season.
since the church is made up of believers, individuals go through cycles, so the church must.
